Throughout his career, he has advised domestic and international clients on M&A transactions, equity investments, shareholder disputes, structured financings, securities offerings, and real estate transactions, as well as on business structuring and general corporate matters. His experience spans a wide range of industries including financial services, venture capital, digital media, healthcare, real estate, and retail, representing both established companies and funds, as well as entrepreneurs at different stages of growth, including expansion processes, capital raising, and exit strategies. In his practice, Diego has also worked closely with litigators and criminal defense lawyers in matters requiring a high degree of corporate and business sophistication for dispute resolution.
Before founding the firm, Diego gained extensive experience advising clients on highly complex corporate and financial transactions, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and participating in transactions with international components.

He holds a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana, where he graduated among the top in his class, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from University of Virginia School of Law. Since 2020, he has served as a professor of Commercial Contracts at his alma mater, actively contributing to the education of new generations of corporate lawyers.

Hernando is a partner at Blanco Carrillo with over 20 years of experience, recognized for his strategic counsel in mergers and acquisitions, structured finance, and cross-border investments. His practice is distinguished by guiding clients through complex transactions with a practical, results-oriented approach aligned with business objectives, particularly in transactions with an international component and in capital-intensive sectors such as energy, among others.

Throughout his career, he has advised Mexican and international companies, as well as investment funds, on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, financings, and infrastructure projects. His experience includes representing developers, sponsors, and financial institutions in high-profile transactions. He also provides ongoing counsel to clients regarding the day-to-day management of their investments in Mexico.

Prior to joining the firm, Hernando was a partner at Pérez-Llorca González Calvillo for nearly a decade. In addition, he served for more than three years as an international associate in the New York office of Milbank, where he took part in highly complex international transactions. Prior to that experience, he worked for several years as an associate at Ritch Mueller, developing a comprehensive local and international perspective.

Hernando has written on energy matters, as well as project finance and mergers and acquisitions, in publications such as Panorama Actual Energético 2024 (Business 2 Value), Regulación y Mercados Energéticos (Lexology), and various international guides published by Chambers and Partners and International Comparative Legal Guides. He has also been recognized by legal directories such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500, IFLR1000, Latin Lawyer 250, and Leaders League, standing out in areas such as M&A, project finance, infrastructure, and private equity. Asaf is a partner at Blanco Carrillo with more than 25 years of professional experience, recognized in the areas of banking law, infrastructure project development, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as for his ability to structure and execute complex transactions in highly regulated sectors. His approach combines strong technical expertise with a strategic understanding of transactions involving both governmental and private entities.

He has advised developers, investment funds, financial institutions, multilateral agencies, and government entities on the financing and development of projects in sectors such as energy, ports, highways, railroads, and hospitals. His experience includes the structuring and negotiation of contracts under various public procurement schemes, including public works, concessions, and public-private partnership arrangements, as well as regulatory advice and counsel in project acquisition and divestiture processes. In addition, Asaf has extensive experience in financings involving federal, state, and municipal governments, representing both borrowers including entities such as Mexico’s state-owned electric utility Comisión Federal de Electricidad and lenders, as well as rating agencies.

Prior to joining the firm, Asaf was part of Ritch Mueller for 25 years, the last seven as a partner, where he developed a significant portion of his practice, building a strong reputation in the market and establishing himself as a leading practitioner in his field.

He also served as an international associate in the Projects and Energy group at Clifford Chance in Washington, D.C., participating in high-level international transactions. His career also includes earlier stages at firms specializing in securities and banking regulation.

Ana is a Counsel at Blanco Carrillo with more than 20 years of experience in corporate, transactional, and finance law. She is recognized for her practical, solutions-oriented approach, as well as for her ability to serve as a strategic business advisor, supporting companies in key decision-making processes, risk management, and the execution of complex transactions, both in Mexico and internationally.

Throughout her career, she has advised domestic and international companies on the structuring, negotiation, and closing of financing and refinancing transactions, corporate, capital markets, and real estate transactions, as well as legal and compliance due diligence matters. Her experience includes participation in high-profile transactions, notably the acquisition of Grupo Modelo by Anheuser-Busch InBev, as well as the structuring of financings involving complex collateral packages. She also advises clients on the negotiation of commercial agreements in both Spanish and English and on the implementation of efficient legal structures for operations in Mexico.

Ana has developed a distinguished practice as a fractional general counsel, advising startups, family-owned businesses, and growing companies in sectors such as technology, financial services, food and hospitality, real estate, legaltech, and commerce. In this role, she supports clients in their day-to-day operations, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and growth strategies, acting as a strategic business partner.

Prior to joining the firm, she developed her practice at Ritch Mueller and Dentons López Velarde, as well as in the corporate sector as International Senior Legal Manager at Grupo Modelo. This experience has allowed her to develop a perspective that combines external legal counsel with the internal operational needs of companies. Miguel is an associate at Blanco Carrillo, where he focuses his practice on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, real estate, and legal management. He has more than a decade of experience advising companies, entrepreneurs, and investors on the structuring, negotiation, and implementation of corporate transactions and strategic projects in Mexico.

Throughout his career, he has advised companies at different stages of development, from incorporation and corporate organization to the execution of complex transactions. His practice includes the structuring and negotiation of acquisitions of companies and assets, advising start-ups and investment funds in venture capital transactions, as well as assisting clients in financing and capital-raising processes. He also advises clients on the acquisition, development, and leasing of real estate projects, including the structuring of trusts and the obtaining of related permits.

He has developed his professional career at Blanco Carrillo, which he joined in 2013 and whose growth and consolidation he has supported since its early stages. This experience has allowed him to work closely with entrepreneurs, growing companies, and established corporations, developing a practical approach focused on understanding clients’ businesses and needs, as well as on the prevention of legal risks and the strategic support of business operations.

His practice includes credit structuring, implementation of collateral schemes, corporate regularization, and legal analysis in domestic and international transactions, actively participating in the execution of transactions involving sophisticated financial and regulatory components.

Allan has developed his professional career at Blanco Carrillo, which has allowed him to gain comprehensive training and a deep understanding of clients’ needs across different industries. He is also a Lecturer at Universidad Iberoamericana, where he teaches Commercial Contracts. She has approximately five years of experience advising domestic and international clients, including investment funds and companies with operations in Mexico, particularly in matters involving cross-border components. Her experience includes the drafting and negotiation of transactional documentation, coordination of due diligence processes, legal risk analysis, and implementation of conditions precedent for transaction closings. She has also been involved in transactions related to share and asset acquisitions, secured financings, and the implementation of corporate structures.

She has participated in projects across various sectors, including education, health technology, financial services, and real estate, developing a comprehensive understanding of both business operations and client needs.

Prior to joining Blanco Carrillo in 2024, Maite worked at a firm specializing in civil and commercial litigation, where she gained experience in procedural follow-up, drafting pleadings, and handling court-related matters. She also participated in the Spanish translation of the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts, an experience that strengthened her interest in international commercial law and the precision of legal language.

She holds a law degree from Universidad Anáhuac and has a bilingual background that has strengthened her ability to work in legal and business environments with international components. Maite received the CENEVAL Award for Outstanding Performance (Premio CENEVAL al Desempeño de Excelencia EGEL) for achieving an outstanding result in the Law EGEL examination in 2023. She also completed the Artificial Intelligence Applied to Law program, certified by Universidad de Palermo, reflecting her interest in the intersection of technology and legal innovation.
